I’ve had three patients on a trial now, and over a period of 4 to 6 weeks, we’ve been monitoring the progress that they’ve had with using Perioban in Waterpiks®. And we’ve had some really good, promising results. The bleeding on probing we’ve seen clinically, has decreased markedly. The patients themselves have reported that their mouths feel better, fresher. They’re not getting anything like the build up that they used to get in the past.

I have just finished a course of Perioban treatment and would like to say how pleased I have been with the product. It is very easy to use and seems to have had a beneficial effect on my dental health.
The packaging was well designed and measuring the required dilution was very straightforward. The instructions were easy to follow and there was an adequate supply of undiluted fluid to complete the recommended 20 day course. The taste was pleasant, rather similar to mouthwash, and hasn’t irritated, burnt or inflamed my gums at all. Subjectively I have noticed that my teeth seem to feel smoother and “cleaner” after a normal brush.
Overall I would highly recommend Perioban for periodontal gum disease and look forward to a maintenance product in the near future.

I’ve been a sufferer of sore gums and and receding gums for many years and many reasons why, but nothing has been able to help, until recently . I was lucky enough to be recommended to try Perioban. An overnight success. I could not believe it. I followed the instructions to the letter and within 24 hours the difference was incredible. My teeth and gums felt so much better, any bleeding had virtually stopped and my whole mouth felt cleaner and fresher. I used it with the correct amounts in my water flosser and didn’t want the treatment to end. I have used it again after the recommended break and gums and teeth are so much better. I would recommend anyone to try Perioban, worth every penny!

As a general dentist, I’ve seen firsthand how challenging periodontal disease can be for patients, which is why I’ve been recommending Perioban, and the results have been really incredible. I could very easily see how patients who had used it experienced less bleeding, reduced inflammation, and even a noticeable halt in the progression of their gum disease.

I saw a patient who has been using the Perioban in a Waterpik for the past 20 days with no flossing or IP brushes. I am thrilled of the results so far after using an explorer around the gingival margins. She will continue until March when I see her again and check for long term results.

Popular FAQs
What is Gum Disease?
Gingivitis is the inflammation and bleeding caused by bacteria and food accumulating around the teeth due to inadequate home dental cleaning. Gingivitis, with good home care is reversible.
Periodontal disease is inflammation and bleeding under the gums in “pockets” caused by long term poor dental hygiene (in most cases). Periodontal disease can never be reversed. Flossing and brushing does not get “under the gums” and therefore does not halt periodontal disease. Perioban is the first postbiotic solution designed to actively remove bacteria and reduce inflammation in the pockets.
What are the symptoms of gum disease?
- Bleeding gums (blood in the sink after brushing)
- Bad taste
- Metallic taste
- Bad breath (halitosis)
- Mobile teeth
- Infection (abscess)
How is gum disease treated?
Conventional treatment will include visiting the dental hygienist so that the teeth and the pockets can be cleaned. Sometimes the hygienist or dentist will insert an antibiotic gel into the pocket. This helps but the “pockets” are only clean immediately after the cleaning and for a few more days after which, because there is a “pocket” present, the pocket fills back up with bacteria and debris, and so the cycle of inflammation re-starts. This is why cleaning must be achieved under the gum at home.
What happens if gum disease is not treated?
Bad breath, loose teeth, painful teeth, removal of painful teeth. It takes years for this to happen but once you get there, nothing will help. Teeth cannot “magically” be made better or re-fixed. The harm has been done and the end result is loss of the teeth.
